Our history

World Sim Racing was initially set up and founded in March 2017 to facilitate a group of like minded racers who wanted to  race with integrity and sportsmanship. On that basis the World GT Championship, our first series was created.

Following the success of the inaugural season, the grid overwhelmingly supported the transition to broadcasted races to help grow the championship. Click HERE to watch our first broadcasted trailer of the WGTC. The rest as they say is history!

For a number of seasons the car class would alternate between GTE and GT3 before ultimately deciding at the beginning of 2020 that GT3 would become the preferred car class for the foreseeable future.

2022 saw the launch of our second championship, the World Touring Car Series taking advantage of the newly expanded TCR car class. To build some hype with the series, we had a number of British Touring Car drivers take to the grid which truly blended the real/sim experience for all drivers participating. The racing as expected did not disappoint and we look forward to developing the WTCS in the seasons to come.

Across both series, we have drivers compete from all over the world allowing us to have a diverse grid of likeminded individuals. Our Discord community continues to grow and we are proud to provide a competitive, friendly and resourceful environment for all our members.

We look forward to welcoming you to a World Sim Racing grid soon!
